Formula of Sales Charge & GST for Unit Trust Investment

Effective from 1 April 2015, unit trust investment with sales charge will attract 6% GST. Sales charge is vary and ranged from 0.25% upto 7%.

Examples:
Investment :$10000
Sales charge : 5%
GST : 6%
NAV price : $0.5000

10000/(1+0.05+0.05*0.06)/0.5000
=18993.35 units entitled

Another example:
Investment : $10000
Sales charge :3%
GST: 6%
NAV Price : $0.5000

10000/(1+0.03+0.03*0.06)/0.5000
=19383.60 units entitled
